Old Growth Owl was founded by Tami McKee two years following her first Ayahuasca ceremony in Costa Rica in 2019 where she was shown a vision which called her to create a safe place for sacred medicine healing ceremonies in the pristine forests of Yachats, Oregon.
As her vision slowly came into reality, she attracted incredible heart-lead and experienced healers in alignment with her vision, committed to bringing sacred ceremonies to people unable to travel to South America for their healing.
The Old Growth Owl community is situated on 15 acres of pristine old growth forest in Yachats, Oregon with the Yachats River flowing through the middle of the land.
In the past this land was inhabited by the Alsea Native American tribe, now it is solely dedicated to the purpose of healing and holding sacred ceremonies. When a sacred medicine ceremony is done in nature in such a setting, the results are nothing short of magical.

Tami McKee was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Her corporate background (AKA “past life”) includes working for both Microsoft and Amazon.com, but she began walking the medicine path in 2019 after being called to do Ayahuasca at Rythmia, in Costa Rica. After being shown a vision in her first Ayahuasca ceremony in November of 2019, Tami has stayed true to the vision shown to her by the medicine and created a place for people to do sacred plant medicine in the pristine forests of Yachats, Oregon.
Tami’s main objective in creating the Old Growth Owl Church is to create a safe place of healing for those who can’t afford to travel to Peru/South America for Ayahuasca ceremonies, and to make Ayahuasca more easily accessible to people in the United States.
“This is also the building of a community. A church is not a place or a building, but it is a group of like-minded people who are loving and supportive of each other, this is what we are creating here. There is a beautiful transformation taking place on the planet. For those who are seeking inner healing, reconnection with their soul, finding their life purpose, connection to the creator, looking to reconnect with their creative side or looking to expand their consciousness, we are here to be of service.”
